Hello out there in Cleveland.

I am here to vent. To write and share. How I'm feeling. Ask for what I want and share my opinions. There will be some marketing of the business as well. It's a blog it wants I want to share. That it.

Friday, at 3am I working on a business plan. I wanted to start a small print shop. I know now that it going to be hard with all the printers who are far along and accomplished. I don't know how I would fit in. So I working on ideas to find my niche as they say.

I'm a graphic designer/desktop publisher, have been for a while now. I don't draw. I use images, colors, and type to create designs for flyers, book covers, and booklets for funerals and events. Stuff like that.

I not making any real money now. I decided to create my own way of servicing the people I have worked for in the past with printing. I just don't know what type I should focus on.

Program booklets were my biggest sellers to design. But with Covid 19 nobody doing anything. I also like book cover design but how do I market and get more writers to come to me? And printing paperback books look like fun but the equipment to do that can be costly. If I were to invest in a thermal printer at a low cost it would be slow printing if someone wanted a lot of books. But I'm really thinking about that. I'm not a big reader, but I would love to create a whole book, not just the cover design.

I can see booklet-making expanding into many things. Menus, photo keepsakes, catalogs, and ad pages. Booklet making calendars, journals, and workbooks. I just need the machine and supplies to start.

It's now 4am. What else can I think of?
